Slow-and-Steady

One of my favorite short stories is Aesop’s fable “The Tortoise and the Hare”. Like the Tortoise, I’ve often been called slow or even lazy because of the ease of pace that I do things at. But just as this story teaches us, I’ve learned that consistency and persistence will get you much further in life than speed and arrogance. There is no need to rush our way through life in order to achieve our dreams. If we trust that we have all the time that we need to get to where we want and need to be, we would be able to glide to the finish line with ease and grace – just as the Tortoise did.

So let us turn our sprint into a leisurely stroll, so that we can enjoy all that life has to offer along our way to achieving our goals.
