Letting In (part 2)

After a natural disaster wipes away a significant portion of a once crowded plant community, space becomes available for new individuals and species to colonize. However, if the newly opened space is colonized by an invasive species, the community could risk being taken over completely and lose its proper functioning. Similarly, when we are going through a natural shedding event in our spiritual evolution, care must be taken with what we allow to take root. Otherwise we could risk going backwards in our spiritual progression instead of forward.

As beings of love and light in essence, we must be careful not to let ourselves become invaded by the darkness that prevails in the world around us. But we also shouldnโ€™t let fear of a potential โ€œinvasionโ€ keep us from new and uplifting experiences, connections, ideas, or mindsets. Fear of the unknown is natural, but with the proper guidance โ€“ either directly from the Divine or from a trusted spiritual advisor โ€“ we can step into the unknown with the assurance that everything will work out for our greatest good.

So let us surrender our fears to allow elevating novelties to enter our lives and propel our spiritual evolution forward. But let us be mindful of the darkness that lays waiting for an opportunity to intercept our progress.
