The bananaquit is a nectarivorous bird (meaning they feed on the nectar of flowers). However, these animations are intended for creative purposes and may not accurately depict their feeding behavior. Similarly, most of the flowers depicted are common ornamentals and so may not be naturally found in Puerto Rico (but may be seen in urban yards).
