Taking Control of the Narrative (part 1)

The transfer of information is [supposed to be] a Life-facilitating process. DNA are the books that hold our history and stories – information about our origins, life, and even insight into our future. As if written in our DNA, storytelling seems to be an innate drive for us as well. And in this process of storytelling, We share information about Life itself. We tell stories with the hope of teaching, with the desire to elevate, or with the intent to warn and protect. Sharing stories can be a means for creating peace and harmony within our communities – but it can also be a source of chaos, confusion, and harm.

When stories are fabricated with the intent to mislead, with the intent to cause harm, they become akin to the harmful genetic mutations that facilitate death instead of life – they become a threat to the stability and peace of the individual or of the community if these false stories (or mutations) actually take hold and spread. But these harmful stories can be corrected, and their damage mitigated.

Though the DNA of plants becomes damaged from constant UV exposure, they can use the same power that hurts them (Sunlight) to fix the damaged DNA. In a similar way, when we are exposed to [or by] forces that distort our story we can use the same light that harmed [or attempted to harm] us to fix the wrongs, while also using that light as a source of nourishment (like how plants use Sunlight to photosynthesize). And we can do this by taking control of the narrative – by retelling the false stories in their proper and true Light.

On this vein, I want to tell you the true story – my story – behind this. And then I want to share a lesson you can take from it.
